Companies

A company record holds a business you sell to: its website, email, phone, industry, size, country and address, plus an owner on your team. Contacts and deals link to it, so its page shows everyone you talk to there and everything you are selling them.

Add and link

1. 1 Open Companies and press New company, or add a company from a contact's page.
2. 2 A contact can belong to several companies; mark one as their primary company.
3. 3 Link a deal to a company from the deal's page.

Custom fields

Need a field we did not think of — a tax number, a contract end date? Add it in Settings → Custom fields and choose Company under «Applies to». Text, number, date, yes/no and pick-list fields are available, and they show on the company form, its page, the import and the export.

Import and export

1. 1 On Companies, press Import and upload a CSV file whose first row holds the headers.
2. 2 Every row needs a company name. A row updates the company with the same website, then the same email, then the same name; anything else is added as a new company.
3. 3 A blank cell leaves what is already saved alone. Country takes a two-letter code such as SA, or the country name.
4. 4 Press Export to download the companies in the current list as a CSV file.
