Zapier and n8n with scoped keys

Zapier and n8n talk to Labeeq through the Developer API and webhooks. Each gets its own scoped key: a token that can do only what you tick, and never more than your own role allows.

Create the key

1. 1 Open Settings → Integrations and pick Zapier or n8n.
2. 2 Press Generate API key. What the app usually needs is ticked for you — contacts, conversations, messages, deals and tasks. Untick anything your workflows do not use.
3. 3 Optionally pin the key to your own server addresses (useful if you run n8n yourself) and set an expiry date.
4. 4 Copy the key now — it is shown only once. It is also listed with your other tokens on the Developer API page.

Wire it up

• Actions: in Zapier add a «Webhooks by Zapier» Custom Request; in n8n add an HTTP Request node. Send the key as a Bearer token in the Authorization header.
• Triggers: in Zapier use Catch Hook; in n8n use a Webhook node. Register the URL it gives you on the Webhooks page, pick the events you want, and check the X-Labeeq-Signature header before trusting a payload.

Rotating and older keys

• Regenerate gives you a new key while the old one keeps working for the time you choose — long enough to paste it into every workflow. Revoke stops a key at once.
• Keys made before scoped keys carry every ability and are marked Legacy. Press «Switch to a scoped token» to replace one without breaking your workflows.
